its a funny thing

existence 

i am sat here

you, sat there 

our minds ticking

contemplating 

the same words

strung together

on a screen

i might be a world away 

you might be a few doors down 

isn't that the beauty of it

the not knowing

how rare it is that 

we 

are two inextricably different beings 

existing 

in a single moment

together
